12 Days of Giving Helps Charities Brighten the Community During the Holidays

Bright House Networks Customers Can Vote on Facebook for Their Favorite Charitable Organizations that Assist the Military, the Homeless, the Hungry, Families, Seniors and Pets

As another way to continue supporting local organizations throughout community, Bright House Networks is helping make this time of year brighter for those in need through its second annual 12 Days of Giving.

This year, Bright House Networks customers are in charge of sharing the support by asking friends to spread the word via social media. By doing so, local charities that aid our military personnel overseas, shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, help families in need, provide companionship and assistance to seniors and shelter, feed and care for pets will receive a donation from the company. Bright House Networks will donate a total of $100,000 to select charities throughout all of its service areas.

Local charities were invited to participate in the 12 Days of Giving campaign based on requirements that includes 501(c)3 status, mission statement and outreach area.

Today, Bright House Networks friends are encouraged to go to the company’s Facebook page to vote on the 60 selected charities and share the link with their Friends to continue to spread the word. Customers can vote every day through December 13. Bright House Networks will award cash prizes to the three organizations that receive the most votes in each of ten service areas. Beginning December 16, the top five charities with the most votes overall will compete in a final round during the last two days, where they can earn $1 per vote, and share in up to $40,000 in additional award money.
