Kicking Off the Summer with Family Programming

Bright House Networks Welcomes Eight New Family-Friendly Channels to the Lineup

Orlando, Fla.

Summer is officially on and Bright House Networks has a slate of new programming and activities for the entire family this season.

Bright House Networks launched eight new family-friendly Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) channels this month, and throughout each service area there will be a variety of fun-filled events throughout June and July that are guaranteed to keep the entire family entertained and having fun this summer.

The eight new channels that are perfect for family viewing include: Great American Country (GAC); BlueHighways TV; Inspiration, BYUtv; Family Net; Jewish Life; Pentagon TV, and NASA Public. Bright House Networks also features numerous other family-friendly viewing selections with an array of kids, educational, news, inspiration, sports and On Demand programming. It also offers many programming options “on the go” with its Bright House TV application, as well as a number of networks, such as Nickelodeon, Vutopia and Watch ESPN, available online and via mobile apps.

As kids are home for the summer, and may be turning on the television to beat the heat or stay busy during an afternoon rainstorm, Bright House Networks has helpful tools like parental controls to help monitor their children’s viewing. Parental controls allow parents to block programming by rating, channel, content advisory, time slots or entire shows/series, and 411 For Parents and 411 For Movies sections in its Free Movies On Demand.

Bright House Networks will also continue to sponsor and participate in local family-friendly events and festivals throughout its service areas. The company will distribute special “Family Fun Packs” at events that include everything needed for a day of summer excitement, including sunglasses, beach balls, coloring books and more.
