Karen Broach Named Regional Vice President of Operations

Regional Oversight for Birmingham and Indianapolis

Bright House Networks is pleased to announce that Karen Broach, Division President in Birmingham, Alabama, has been named the Regional Vice President of Operations for the Birmingham and Indianapolis Divisions. This announcement was made by Kevin Hyman, Executive Vice President of Cable Operations.

In making the announcement, Hyman said, “This approach allows us to enhance our positioning within both divisions, strengthens our operations by sharing information and best practices while furthering the existing contributions of key leaders within our service areas.”

Broach commented, “I look forward to working with the Indianapolis team and plan to take steps toward enhancing customer service and creating a stronger alignment between customer care and our competitive strategy. I am energized and excited about this tremendous opportunity.“

As President of the Birmingham Division of Bright House Networks, Broach has been responsible for full managerial oversight of the operation, including strategic planning, budget development and accountability, financial analysis, audit compliance, regulatory compliance, human resources, and customer care activities.

Broach is a twenty-four plus year cable industry veteran, who served as Vice President/General Manager of Charter Communications' Southern Wisconsin Division. Prior to employment with Charter Communications, her career marked significant accomplishments while at Time Warner Cable and Fanch Communications.

Broach’s industry involvement includes current participation in the Alabama Cable Telecommunications Association, where she is serving on the Board of Directors. In the past, she participated and was an active member in the Wisconsin and the Pennsylvania cable television associations. She is also a member of WICT (Women in Cable Telecommunications). Ms. Broach is a 2009 Graduate of the prestigious WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. Her community outreach includes involvement with Cable in the Classroom, United Way, and Habitat for Humanity. In 2004, Ms. Broach was recognized as one of the Top 50 Women in Business in the State of Pennsylvania./p>
