Future Leaders Scholarship Program

Recognizing and rewarding
graduating high school seniors

Bright House Networks Futures Leaders is a technology scholarship program designed to recognize high school seniors in good standing in the Bright House Networks service area for their contributions to their schools and local communities. Bright House Future Leaders will be named based on community service activities, leadership skills and an essay describing the importance of leadership and community service. Bright House Future Leaders winners will be awarded a computer laptop, software and carrying case. To qualify to be considered for this special recognition, students must meet the following:

  • Attend a high school in the Bright House Networks service area as a senior in good standing
  • Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service involvement
  • In addition to the completed application form, applicants must include a typed minimum 500 word essay describing the importance of leadership and community service

Application Process:

  • A completed application includes the application form, a copy of the official transcripts, a minimum 500-word essay describing the importance of leadership and community service, a letter of recommendation from the school (teacher/guidance counselor) on official school letter head, and a letter of verification/recommendation from an organization where the student has volunteered, also on letterhead.
  • Applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2013 and received not later than March 22, 2013
  • Please note materials submitted with application will not be returned.

Students must reside within the Bright House Networks service area and attend high school as a graduating senior to be eligible. Not open to students of Bright House Networks employees.
